New Features To Expect On The 2021 RAM ProMaster

The RAM ProMaster has been one of the most exciting commercial vehicles on the market for several years now. Its 2021 version is no exception. The new RAM ProMaster enters the 2021 RAM lineup with more technology and safety features than ever before, keeping it ahead of its competitors and its fans excited to get their hands on one.

Interior and Exterior

Although the outside of the RAM ProMaster won’t look much different than previous versions, the new model does have quite a few updates on the inside.

One of the most talked-about features since the new RAM ProMaster was unveiled at The Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Indiana, is the Digital Rearview Camera. This is a brand-new feature for the company and the ProMaster is currently the only RAM to have it. The mirror functions as a regular rearview mirror until you switch to a rear-facing camera mode to see what’s behind you as you back up, making it easier and safer to back into a warehouse or other tight spaces.

RAM also gifts the ProMaster with ambient interior lighting, which will be an available option on all models and configurations. The soft lighting makes the interior more visible for convenience in dark or cloudy conditions.

Safety

New safety features come with the 2021 RAM ProMaster, including standard Crosswind Assist on all models. This handy technology helps the vehicle remain on its path in windy conditions by stabilizing it – an especially helpful addition for higher roof configurations.

Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection is now available on all ProMaster configurations, giving drivers an alert when people or objects come within their blind spot. Forward Collision Warning with Emergency Brake Assist – also an available feature – automatically applies partial braking to give drivers more time to stop in the event of a potential collision.

Equipment and Configurations

The new RAM ProMaster stays true to form with its multiple configurations to give you the perfect van to meet the needs of your business. For 2021, there is a total of 18 configurations based on roof height and wheelbase sizes. It will also come in its current styles: Cargo Van, Window Van, Cutaway, and Chassis Cab, with vans getting the option of adding three-person seating.

Although RAM hasn’t yet released details on accessories and upfitting for the ProMaster lineup, industry experts expect that drivers will have similar options as those currently available, such as:

As for equipment, you can expect all RAM ProMaster vehicles to come powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. All configurations will have RAM’s best-in-class front-wheel-drive system known for its exceptional turning radius and traction.
